20 characters by 4 lines, optionally backlit, you can practically show War and Peace on this little guy.  Well, the first four lines of it anyway. Based on the standard HD44780 chip, this display has tonnes of software available on the internet to get it up and going.

This particular display has voltage converters inbuilt so it works at 3.3V.
