Sometimes you just need to go back into proper RS232 land - and this little module allows you to do that without having to worry about what voltage you're running at.  If you're running at 5V or 3.3V, this converter will work for you, and also allows you to get access to two more signals (eg, CTS/RTS) as well as the essential TX/RX.
